‘A Match… A Firm… A Heist… The mother of all Battles’
‘St Georges Day’ is the new crime thriller written and directed by Frank ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Harper, which focuses on the gritty, dark and realistic London criminal underworld. The film has recently finished and is currently in post-production looking for a release date in the spring of 2012.
Two infamous gangster cousins, Micky Mannock (Frank Harper) and Ray Collishaw (Craig Fairbrass) are both at the top of the food chain in the London criminal underworld. When a shipment of the Russian Mafia’s cocaine is lost in rough seas, Micky and Ray’s World is turned upside down. In order to put things right and so that they can retire to a legitimate way of life, they must pull off a risky and daring diamond heist to pay back the Russians. With the Police hot on their heels, the story races across London, Amsterdam and Berlin ending in the mother of all battles.
With an all star cast including Frank Harper, Dexter Fletcher, Charles Dance, Ashley Walters, Craig Fairbrass, Sean Pertwee, Luke Treadaway, Nick Moran, Vincent Regan, Keeley Hazell, Jamie Foreman and Angela Gots, ‘St Georges Day’ is lining up to be a fantastic gangster movie.
With a cinema release date rumoured to be in the Autumn of 2012, its fantastic cast and gripping story, this British gangster film is certainly one to look out for and one that I personally cannot wait for.
