Hawken Beta

What seems like an age ago I wrote about an indie game called Hawken. Hawken is a Mech Combat FPS set on a planet colonised by man where “the fight for resources has become the fight for survival”. Adhesive Games announced the game in March of last year and released some brilliantly promising teaser footage in August. Since then there has been mostly silence, until very recently.

In the lastest blog post on the Hawken website many big reveals were made, one being that Hawken will be “launched as a free-to-play PC game”. This is brilliant news but even better news is that they also gave us a release date of 12.12.12, this will be a very nice Christmas present. In this same post however Adhesive Games made something happen that I had been waiting for since I first saw those few trailers released last year, the signup for the beta was released!

You can signup yourself at playhawken.com and once the beta starts I hope to see you there. If your still not sure about signing up watch this video and you will definitely want to.
